A&E stream to GPs:
reducing waits and saving money
Problem
Long waits for category 3 patients in A&E/UTC, spiralling UTC costs.
Solution
We managed a project that established 3xGP Hubs that provided additional primary care capacity upstream of A&E for NHS 111 redirection and practice same day overflow, and capacity to receive patients the same day during core hours streamed from A&E
Result
Between 40 and 60 patients per day streamed from A&E into our Hubs plus an estimated 50 patients saved from attending A&E per day due to upstream activities

Solution
We programme managed a review of the 10 services, provided specialist advice, supported the client in updating and establishing new service specifications including with contract drafting, pricing, and negotiations
Result
The Programme was succesfully completed to the clients deadline. 4x services were udated, 6x services decommisisoned and 4x new services introduced
New contract form:
a new way of commissiong local services from PCNs
Problem
Our client wanted to commission local services from groups of practices in Primary Care Networks, rather than individually from GP Practices
Solution
We designed and drafted a new contractual agreement (The Network Contract Local Enhanced Service) which although signed by individual practices, required them to collaborate to deliver services at network level.
Result
Not only was our contract form implemented by the Client, it has since been adoped more widely by the ICB
